After photographing dance for almost 25 years, I decided it was time to share my work. Though I'm generally on assignment, most of the images on this site have never been seen before. Often, the best photographs just don't work for advertising. Many of the photographs represent personal projects. I spent countless days backstage at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, working with the Kirov Ballet. It was so beautiful. It is a timeless place. I never wanted to leave. At ABT, I believe I photographed Baryshnikov's Swan Lake almost 100 times. When their project was finished I couldn't stop shooting the ballet.
