I first photographed at STEPS on Broadway in 1994 for American Cheerleader magazine. I had passed by the studios many times but had no idea what was up there. Walking in, I was impressed by the incredible energy of the place. Hundreds of dancers from top professionals to beginning children filled the studios and hallways. Everyone seemed so positive and happy. The directors at STEPS and I quickly began a long relationship that continues on to this day. They allow me to photograph in my own creative style without restriction. It's a gift greatly appreciated.
